  1. Past hour
  2. Yes. I just got the Baofeng GM-15 Pro software installed and started using it so I don't know a lot yet but so far, so good. I did notice that some of the TX frequencies on the DIY channels are not correct. I haven't tried to contact Baofeng about it yet. Edit: Just noticed the one I posted is wrong.
  3. And change the tones from time to time.
  4. Today
  5. I think you are correct Sshannon. What I really wanted to know however was if my radio was acting incorrectly by allowing these frequencies to cross each other like that. I've been told that because one has DCS and one has CTCSS that that should not happen. What do you think? By the way, I do believe at least one or two pairs are open near here.
  6. If you want to keep your family and friends only repeater private, don't list it on mygmrs.com. Also, I would split the tones and use CTCSS on the downlink/repeater output side and an Inverted DPL/DCS code on the uplink/repeater input side.
  7. Does the Baofeng software allow Do It Yourself Repeater Channels with different tones between 31 and 54?
  8. I'm using the GM-15 Pro from BFng, still good to go with the v2.x?
  9. Clearly you are too young to have lived through the Franchise-Wars of the 1990's ...
  10. That worked! Thanks. My mistake was looking for a code with a D in it, instead of just using the number.
  11. The best part of that article is that the person in the photo is using MURS. I guess Walmart and fast food restaurants have proven to be formidable enemies.
  12. One of them needs to change frequencies. Are the other seven repeater pairs occupied?
  13. I find it mildly amusing that the Patriot Radio Frequency link shows a big-ole American flag, the American eagle, an excerpt from the United States Constitution, and a Chinese radio. I get that it's dang hard to find radios made right here in good-ole 'Murica, but it seems a little ironic.
  14. In my area, we have two different repeaters owned by two different people approximately 30-40 miles apart. Both repeaters are on the same frequency but one has ctcss on transmit and receive and one has DCS on transmit and receive. When someone breaks the squelch on one channel from that channel, the audio from the adjacent channel will flow in also creating the effect of both channels talking at once until everyone lets off the mic. If no one keys up and the adjacent channel is talking you cannot hear them unless you switch to their channel. Confusing? Yes. It is for me to try to explain. Suggestions anyone?
  15. @WSAF467 If you can give us a little more detail on where you are having trouble, we may be able to help you. Otherwise we can only take a shot in the dark as to what the problem it.
  16. See attached file. EUT-INTERNAL-PHOTOS-6131155.pdf
  17. Get a programming cable, Down load chirp and use GM-5RH as the radio. 100xs easier then on the face of the radio. can you here traffic on the repeater? How far are you? Are you close enough to hit it with an HT? Good line of sight?
  18. That video is me only removing the whip, the copper base is MNO. Looks like your photo.
  19. I never hear the health net reports on UHF/VHF. Seems the Tapeworm Net and the Sweaty Piles Net are usually on 75m (HF CB Radio).
  20. Try an earphone to see if that works. If it does it might be the switch in the earphone jack.
