  1. Thanks for all the info. I was thinking internet linking was the way to go. Did anyone have luck linking repeaters over inter over many states rather easily? I know its still a herculean task.
  2. Hello all. New to gmrs myself and was wondering what was the best and most cost effective way to link a few repeaters to each other over a few states. Wanna do a couple in nj, one in myrtle beach and maybe a few in Florida. Any ideas?
  3. I'm also looking to link a couple of repeaters together but also not spend a ton on the repeaters as well and saw this thread. looking for ideas for the project.

  5. yea i know. i hear repeater traffic i believe, sometimes its music or as of right now it's the news coming in and out. wish i can get a contacts.

  7. When does ducting usually occur? I wanna see how far i can reach. gmrs is quiet near me. hear some chatter occasionally on a repeater but i dont have the tones for it.
  8. using chrome on windows, no audio on my side either.
  9. As a trucker myself and an off-roader, I say us truckers use CH. 20 more. Obviously for off-roading is CH.16.

  13. It's a Nagoya NMO-200c 38.5" antenna on a Nagoya RB-50 NMO mount.
  14. I have an antenna tuning question. I'm tuning my antenna for my radio, on channels 1-8 the meter is reading 1.02. On channel 15 its reading at 1.52. The repeater channel swr is reading at 2.02. Whats the best way for me to tune my antenna?

  17. Just wondering what some good mobile equipment yall reccomend. Just got my license and looking to install in my jeep and work truck.
