Is there anyone out there that could simplify explaining to me how to put an offset number in and how to put in tones to repeaters?? I have been an avid cber for years and have never had any issues trying to get anything done with any of my cb radios. I have had my Btech 50x1 for a year now. i have yet to find anyone that can help me to where I can actually talk on my radio. I hear people even on net checkins. I cant ket up and talk to anyone because I cant connect to the repeater. So far, I am not impressed. Iam almost ready to get rid of this radio because its useless to me, and I cant find any help. I purchased a cable that the manual said to download chirp. This did not work and it was the exact cable the manual said to buy. I give up. Is there anyone that can help??? I live in Concord, NC

Hi. I am a long time cber and new to GMRS. I have recently purchased a BTECH 50x1 mobile and a Browning GMRS ant. I have everything hooked up with an swr of 1.1. I have heard other people talking on GMRS and repeater channels and I can't make any contact at all. Could anyone help me to solve this problem? I live in Concord NC. Thank you.

There is a local repeater in my area of Concord, North Carolina with a frequency of 462.700. I'm new and not sure as to hit the repeater. There is a CSQ of 146.2HZ. Do I need to program this in CTSS or what? Is this transmit or receive or both? I welcome any help. Thank you.

Hi all. Well, I am a newbie also. Been in radios for years just never got an GMRS license till now. Very interested in learning all there is to learn. I live in Concord, North Carolina and I've found a few repeaters but not sure how to get linked to them. There is one in my immediate area of a frequency of 462.700. It says it's an open repeater but I'm just not sure how to hit it.
