I have an unused 65ft mast in the trees behind my house where I can push up a GMRS antenna just above the foliage. My problem is getting a run of buried coax out there anytime soon due to some ongoing renovations. I can park a few batteries out there and periodically run a cord out there to recharge them. A temporary solution for maybe 12-18mo.
Are there any GMRS base stations that have remote control operation via WiFi to operate from inside my house about 100ft away?

After watching NotaRubicon’s 5-part YouTube saga, I was thinking towards the KG-1000g repeater build and then saw this YouTube. It seems YMMV wrt success on this strategy.
Yes, the listing is indeed: 462.575 DPL156 467.575 DPL156 So it seems I'm in luck! When I "hit" a GMRS Repeater, do I get an audible signal like a HAM Radio repeater? Thanks, BRET WRFQ595/N4SRN
I only have a single repeater nearby that operates on 462.575 DPL 156 I've seen "complaints" about the Midland MXT400 saying it has limitations for use with repeaters. Some reviews say all 8 channels are all on or all off, or that it takes only a single code per channel. I'm not sure what they mean... Are repeater frequencies/codes "pre-set" or can one program them? With the MTX400 work with my in-range repeater? Thanks! WRFQ595/N4SRN
