  1. I just got two V1 units set up on our local repeater using the keypad/menu. First take a look at the owners manual and find your repeater frequency and select the REPT channel that corresponds to it. They are pre-programmed, channels 15-22. If you have the Tone in and Tone out requirements for your repeater, go into the menu and scroll to T CTCSS and R CTCSS respectively and select from the pre-programmed frequencies. Good luck Dave WRJS228
  2. Appreciate the information. On an unrelated subject, can I ask what is the correct protocol for signaling between two HT units when we only have one call sign? Is there a standard such as "WRJS228 Unit 1calling WRJS228 Unit 2" or "Mobile calling Base" with the call sign? Thanks for the help Dave WRJS228
  3. Thanks guys, I was testing with 20 feet of separation. Will try again with 100' per the suggestion. Much appreciated. Dave WRJS228
  4. Howdy, Just got my license and am testing two Btech X1 HT units. I can call and recieve with the local repeater using a single radio however when both units are set to the repeater channel, my signal isn't received by the second (recieving) HT unit. (Hope that makes sense) Any advise would be appreciated Dave WRJS228
