  1. The Houston area flood control uses frequencies just below GRMS for water depth guage for telemetry. Some are very dirty on the TX and bleed in. And the sound is much like what you are hearing.
  2. You could put a RDL mixer in-line with one of your speakers (I would do front passanger) https://www.markertek.com/product/st-umx3/rdl-st-umx3-3x1-universal-audio-mixer-3-mic-or-line-inputs-x-1-mic-or-line-out They are small, easy to understand and hold up to heat.
  3. I look forward to your review. I wanna know how many Majigaherz it spews.

You get all that and more with the Wouxun KG-S88G. It's built with a superheterodyne receiver, full DTMF keypad and USB-C charging port. It's also IP67 dust and waterproof! feature packed and powerful, the KG-S88G is a GMRS transceiver designed for the most serious GMRS operator.
  5. I have had one for two weeks now. I do not have much to compare it to other than HTs with external antennas. It is easy to use. Mic is nice. I'd guess my range with a mobile antenna in the truck has easily doubled (20-25 miles). At home with a Diamond X50 antenna in the attic has also doubled (30-35 miles). Speaker is good and the one on the mic is nice to have. It has no fan so it does get toasty if you TX much.
