This radio seems overpriced at $320 each to me. Plus you'll need two spaced out antennas, 2 power supplies, etc. If it was priced more reasonably (like $250) then it may be more attractive to use for this. Plus I hate the fact that you have to run 2 antennas and space them out or pay for a duplexer.
