  2. Newbie here Purchased the kg 805g and in the process of adding tones for local repeater here in the Seattle area I somehow manage to get Stuck in what appears to be a frequency choice. Is there a reset option to start over? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  3. Thanks again. so, I entered code 13 for the 103.5 freq. Now, I'm looking at the DCS code chart and wondering of I have to use the same #13 for DCS? any idea?

  5. I am unable to use chip on my Btech GMRS v1 using Mac with Big Sur OS. However, I am able to use chirp using a Baofeng red FTDI usb cable on my BR-F8HP. Not sure if anyone reading this had a layman fix for this.

  8. I would love to use chirp but too many issues trying to work this on my macbook( big sur).
  9. Hi, I was provided access to repeaters here in Seattle. When I was in freq mode I hit the scan button and a range field appeared. Do I need to add numbers to the range field? Also when referring to Tone, is that in reference to the R CTCS and T CTCS? Finally, I have two frequencies per repeater. Do I add both or one? Very new to GMRS.. Sorry for the loaded questions!

  11. Hi, I just purchased my Btech GMRS V1 and wanted to know if I need to program in the frequencies or any other codes before using? My purpose of this is really just to see the benefits of using this type of technology. I live in western washington and was trying to reach out to anyone using GMRS but have not had any luck.

  14. That’s the same, cable that I have. The MacBook allows the driver install and the chirp install. I’m stuck at the point where the chirp install options where the gmrs device isn’t recognized. Is there a cheet sheet for this install in a Apple product? Any other recommendations?

  17. Hello, Newbie here. I want to use CHIRP for my new Btech GMRS v1. i have an apple usb c to usb but my Btech doesn't show up in the CHIRP profile. what am I missing? is there an easy way to get the device recognized? Thanks, John
