  1. This dozer was featured in Popular Mechanics magazine. One could build it from plans, it's drive system was pullies and belts. Later the company that sold the plans started selling attachments and later dozer kits. Over the years the dozer got bigger. I was a member of a FB group for this mini dozer. Sorry for my English

  2. Crestline shows that it's coverage is 3.2 miles and I'm out of there area. Club650 is in my area and mite be the repeater that i hear every afternoon and into the early evening. Just like they were sitting next to me. So as not being a troll, I guess that is it until next month. I do thank you for your help

  3. The repeater I hit today was VNC575 / Topanga, CA 462.575. I was just North of the Glendale business district. The upset fireman was from my very first contact, that being Mt Wilson 462.600. But what repeater is on Channel 27 RPT 19 also heard on GMRS channel 19? Thank You all for your help.

Repeater is clearly on the air, the angry fireman and such. Per map or not, tell us the freq that you still have in your UV5R. Just like your nickname implies, do the godly thing, mitzvah! Do a right thing, help others do not step into that blind!

My mobile is a 20 watt Ocean and a today I  had a Ocean 905G with a adapter to a Nagoya GMRS tunes antenna. The repeaters that I try to hit each outing are MT Disappointment ( 462.600 ) , MT Harvard ( 462.625 ) , 725 Round Table  ( 462.725 ) , Mt Wilson (462.600 ) mostly blocked by mountains if near home. VNC575 ( 462.575 ) hit this repeater today! I think part of my problem is that I'm to close to the base of the mountains.

Am I missing where it shows that? It has dropped to what the map regards as "stale" (aka no updates in over a year), but I didn't see anything indicating it was offline.

(On the map, hit the gear in the upper left, and toggle the "show stale repeaters" option)

How about Mt Disappointment 462.600?  725 Round Table 462.725?

  6. Every weekend I try to hit 6 different repeater in my area with no luck. Today after putting a antenna adapter on my 905G I hit a repeater (2 repeaters and one live person contact) since getting into GMRS. After getting home I checked out this sites map and It seems that 5 repeaters that I have permission to use are well not there anymore. One repeater I know is to far away, it is kind of a bunch list item. But who are the folks I hear on channel 27 /  RPT 19? Spill over onto GMRS channel 19

If that WAS the repeater....given the repeater is listed as "open" (along with the other info on the repeater page about 'open to all'), it occurs to me to wonder if the "upset fireman" was actually a fireman, someone with authority over the repeater, or just some random yahoo on a power trip.  Did the individual identify at all?

As per the map this repeater is not longer in service.

  8. I did troubleshoot with the multimeter. The power supply worked (same power supply that comes with UV-5R's). But the base was not working. With the UV-5Rs the red light on the base comes on and after awhile it starts to flash red / green until the battery in fully charged. With the BTech base no power at the studs and no lights. The charging set up is almost a third of the price for a new V-2.

Something tells me your radio is not programmed right for the repeater...  Have you EVER tried hitting it before you needed the it...?    What are you using/settings?

Did you try hitting the repeater that off Mt. Wilson?

As for that YouTuber guy.  His area sits above most of the IE, with not much in the way, that's how he is able to reach so far.   He also has a repeater that I have easily hit from the 210/57 from a HT.  And hell I am up in the Desert and hitting a repeater that is roughly ~15-20 miles from me on a HT (is MUCH better with a car antenna) without issue from my garage in a housing track..

I was able to hit the repeater on Mt Wilson (one of two contacts I have made since getting into GMRS). And got a rather upset fireman screaming that the repeater was only for fireman. My only other contact was with the NotARubicon  guy who let me come on his Jeep outing. I do enjoy FRS (2 instead of 5/50).

  10. Let me clarify my first statement. I didn't hear any traffic on any GMRS channel or repeater. So if I don't hear anybody on a GMRS channel there is no point in my making a request for HELP! As repeater step on channels 15-22 that met to me "no one was home". My antenna is a GMRS tuned mag mount Nagoya (sell check).
