  1. Tonight (8.1.21) node 20602 in CA is hanging transmit while linked to node 176. This appears to have started around 9:00 PM Central and continues as I write this post at 10:55 PM Central. In turn, node 176 is connected to major nodes 100, 177, 169 - and all systems linked thereabout. Fortunately, the main block of Midwest repeaters unlinked form 169 and both me and a fellow repeater operator were home and caught this issue in time to prevent more than 30 minutes of dead-key on our linked 169 systems. In the simplest terms, this is a Denial of Service attack and represents a serious weakness in the MyGMRS linked system (and perhaps thsi version of AllStarLink). This has a real negative impact on linked repeaters, and may cross legal boundaries with the FCC. Many people are running older repeaters that may not have specifications to continuously transmit for sustained durations; even if the ToT briefly interrupts. This sort of systemic bug is very problematic. Does anyone have a potential solution? Is there a script, code or config adjustment that can be used to unlink when there is a sustained, uninterrupted signal coming over asterisk for more than 30 minutes?
