Linking a private Net?

Myself and a couple of buddies want so set up a net of repeaters across CT. Because of the landscape we need several repeaters for the area we want to cover. We want to be able to like them all together. Will the MyGMRS linking bundle allow us to privately link our repeaters together without linking them to the public MyGMRS net? We are planning on using the Icom FR-4000-3. What would we need to use the linking bundle with this unit?
