  1. Thanks, I have not used the site before, so thanks for the information.
  2. Is there someone who has a computer that will download a complete list of Part 95 authorized radios? I cannot get the FCC site to ever download. (And you may not get it to work either.) Or maybe someone has a full list that was created and saved when the website still wokred? WQLP990
  3. I have several ham and GMRS repeaters. One is on a building already. I have asked and asked other places but have made no headway. I have tower access for ham stuff but nothing else can be added. Just looking for ideas and what has worked for other folks after being turned down so much
  4. Those folks that have repeaters on towers/buildings, how have you been successful in repeater placement? What do you do to convince owners to allow you to put up a repeater. I have tower space and a building, but have not been able to get anything else (and I am thankful). But I want to hear what others have done. Steve N2DMR/WQLP990
  5. There would be a VHF mobile linked through the repeater controller for the GMRS. The controller has 3 ports so a VHF mobile could be placed to transfer the audio (with correct bandwidth and 2 watts) in simplex mode. Both repeaters should be able to "hear" each other only two watts. The rules only really speak of the wattage and the band width with nothing saying that this could not be done,
  6. It would not be a MURS repeater in the normal sense of the word. It is just forwarding the audio in simplex mode between GMRS repeaters. Steve
  7. Would it be legal to use MURS (with correct band width an power output) to link two GMRS repeaters? Opinions?
  8. I just want more UHF spectrum to set up new repeaters outside the normal 8 sets
  9. Did the FCC change the rule on repeater identification (in 2017) to require that the repeater itself must ID if non-family etc. members are using it? Steve WQLP990
