We need more clarification on this new law that goes into effect June 30,2023. Is the term distracted driving mean and including the use of mobile microphone use in a moving vehicle? Will all radio operators be required to use headsets now? I asked a County sheriff this same question and his response was as follows. It will be up to the officer who gives the tick and the traffic court judge, to decide if it is within such parameter's of the law.

I have a problem with a neighbors Harbor Freight High Frequency battery charger. It is transmitting a signal of interference to my radio. I have removed my antenna and AC power supply. I used an external power supply and still am getting interference. I put 4 mix 31 snap ferrite beads on my power cord next to the radio and still getting interference. I have talked to my neighbor about the problem, it went on deaf ears. Any suggestions on how I should proceed? Thank you.

Are businesses still allowed to use our GMRS channels for their operations? My channel 16 (White Dot) is used by a local business, during their working hours.

Being new to GMRS, my question is. Why do we have two same frequency channels? If I set tones on channel 24 (repeater), I lose all receiving non tone transmissions on GMRS 16. Second question is about the Emergency channel repeater 20. Is the tone 141.3 used for both rx and tx?

I am new to gmrs and the information about the Wouxun 20 Watt says the connector is a SO239. Am I going to have to buy an Adaptor to fit a magnetic antenna? It's 28 degrees in Michigan right now, so I am going to find a magnetic base mobile antenna to put on a two drawer metal cabinet in front of my second story window. Does anyone know of a good mobile antenna that will receive the Ham 2meter and 70cm along with gmrs frequencies?
