  1. Hello all, New to GMRS. Today I just registered on this site. I have been reading FCC part 95.1763 as well as looking at some charts showing freqs of both GMRS and FRS power levels, bandwidth. When 2 services (FRS and GMRS) share Channels (1-22) are they allowed to communicate with each other provided each maintain the proper power levels, Bandwidth, Deviation, type of radio, for each channel 1-22.?(8-14 hand-held only) and would the GMRS operator be required to use his call sign even though the FRS operator isn't licensed? Would the GMRS operator have to reduce power to FRS levels to communicate or can he maintain GMRS levels while speaking to a FRS operator. As I understand it channels 8-14 would only allow a hand held radio for GMRS with a power level of 0.5w. The bandwidth is narrow and I believe the deviation is 2.5KHz. Do they make a hand-held that covers CH 1-22 along with Repeater channels (total 30 channels) that meet the power,Bandwidth and Deviation for channels 8-14 ? Bottom line, if GMRS and FRS can talk to each other what's the rules. Thanks, Ken WRQC504 N1KK
