My local repeater is 462.600 according to my GMRS. do I use Gmrs channel 17(462.600) or do I use channel 17rp (467.600)? My thinking is channel 17 (462.600) but I can’t get it to work any help Is appreciated.

New to the gmrs world. Are the “tones” on the repeater the same as ctcss? My radios all say ctcss but don’t say anything about “tones”
