  1. simply put, the system is running outdated server and many people are running newer image of mygmrs and some modded settings just to get it working. there is work arounds but the most direct (which can be resolved by a updated image for mygmrs) isn't available. Now if you would like to have the work around that does work but requires a bit more work on your part please let me know and I'll help you out. WRTA613 Edward
  2. We have looks at doing our own server but as a couple of us have mygmrs nodes we were looking to just have a hub direct with mygmrs and do like PR is doing. Building a hub that's does the auto reg is tricky and the one guy that was tied with gmrs who built the reg server passed away awhile ago and we ourselves haven't been able to find anyone with the knowledge to help build one.
  3. What would be the process for a hub request instead of a node request? I noticed that there are a couple hubs on mygmrs that are not main hubs but separate hubs but show up as 3 digit hubs vs 5 digit nodes. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  4. that is a nice handy talky. have you been able to talk on any repeater locally to you?
  5. Congratulations on getting your gmrs license. There are several groups in nc you should be able to connect to. I would Look up on zello USGMRS-NC. this is connected to the ORN gmrs group which is also connected to the Pilot Mountain 700 repeater system. Hope to hear you on the air.
  6. rdunajewski have they moved over to the 2.0 of asl yet? I had done some testing and had got most stuff working on the 2.0 on a proxmox server but was having issues with my repeater audio and also connecting to other nodes outside of the main hubs. I ended up moving everything back over to the pi4 running hamvoip (currently running) If you would like to reach out to me to help me troubleshoot the rest of the issues then I am confident enought to put up a step by step for those attempting the same thing (with your help of course). Thanks in advance Edward WRTA613
  7. I have done the most I can with that I found. Included is the updated astdb.txt file for anyone that is still having issues. astdb.txt
  8. have you completed that list? If you have I would love a copy to add to mine so that I can update mine as well. Give me a message via email WRTA613@gmail.com
  9. Unfortantly for myself, even after following all the steps and going through it all. I am no where near getting my node to connect to the net. Thats what I get. now the back story to my system is I am running the hamvoip on a pi 4b I have followed all the the steps and even went further and followed several others on here and doing some bug shooting and fixing some of the code lines still no closer to connecting. I have sent out 2 emails to hope and get help. I realize that the mygmrs image wasn't meant for the new pi's but when you can only work with what you have I have a pi 4b and can not afford to buy another one. I am more incline to run this on a virtual if it would work ( i have another system running on virtual and working well). Finding this thread gave me hope to use the 4b and get with mygmrs and put my repeater on the map for NC. Could really use help here to get fully online and get connected with everyone else. Thank you in advance. wrta613
  10. All repeaters listed here are connected to the ORN and MYGMRS network. If you are connected via a node assignment list it here (repeater name, Freq, location, and repeater owner) DO NOT list pl tone, if repeater is listed on mygmrs.com include link to the repeater owner directly for members to goto for usage request.
  11. list repeaters in this thread, Freq, location and repeater owner. DO NOT include pl tone. If repeater is listed with mygmrs.com, copy listing and include with posting so those for the area are able to go direct and request usage.
  12. What radios is everyone using? Do you have a preferred radio and why?
