  1. Nick B- link is merely the linking of various other repeaters in the Barn system. You did not mention what type of radio you are programing, it's always helpful to include this info when seeking help. If you go to the home page of this web site you will find a link to a map when expanded will list the approx. location of the reported repeaters in your area. At the present time only about 60-70% of the repeaters in your area are shown on the map, (there's a large group of repeaters that do not want there location an existence to be general public info). You shouldn't have any problem accessing several different repeaters from your location with a hand held.
  2. Had to find out who had the most.... No surprise here,,,, California with 5,907
  3. Prior to my moving to my current location Central Valley of Calif. (mid 90's) I was part of a group that met on 432.100 regularly. My current location restricts my ability to have towers and antennas for every band, (now only a couple of well concealed vertical antennas), so I haven't been active on 432 ssb since. I do know that several of the hams that I used to chat with regularly on ssb are still active there, but not like it was in the late 70's thru early 90's when there was group activity on a daily basis.
  4. Glad to hear that the cable worked and even better that the quality was as you say "superior quality". Personally I have had my share of sub-standard quality items from e-bay an amazon... Etc.
  5. Are you needing this cable for a Tk mobile series radio or a TK hand held. If you are looking for Hand hald it should be correct, if mobile then you would need the serial to RJ45 cable.
  6. There are 2 repeaters that might work depending upon exactly where your going to be in Yosemite; Mt Bullion on 462.600 (located on Mt Bullion) has limited coverage into the valley NVGMRS-.700 on 462.700 Located on Mt Oso has better coverage into the valley but still limited You can look both of these up in the Repeater listings, both require permission. NVGMRS-.700 is your best bet and it covers into Sacramento as well. Being located on Mt Oso it has great coverage of the entire valley and into the foothills as well.
