skysoldier29
I am looking for some options for a decent GMRS HT that can take a detachable antenna. The only one I can find that is Part 95 is the Baofeng GMRS radios, I was just looking for any other options before I buy. I have a few of the Baofeng Ham radios, but I want to keep it on the up and up.

There's an extensive thread over on radioreference.com in the FRS/GMRS section that contains information on lots of radios that are Part 95 type accepted. Check out this section of their forum: https://forums.radioreference.com/gmrs-frs/ And, some of the previous threads here have some of the same information. Logan5
there are a few options with detachable antennas, However currently the only Baofeng radio type accepted is the GMRSv1, Baofengs are good learner radios, cheap to replace if you destroy it. I have used several models and Baofeng radios are moderately rugged and decent to excellent quality, for the price, The GMRSv1 is a little higher priced but I expect similar build quality to other popular Baofeng models. Good luck choosing.

PRadio
I have the Tera TR-505s. They work well and are easy to program. https://powerwerx.com/tera-tr505-gmrs-recreational-handheld-radio
