BTech GMRS 50-Pro Help - Keypad Lock?

I donated my GMRS 50Pro to someone that has no business using a radio like this, and they've already screwed it up multiple times, not even knowing what/how they did it.. "the screen just got stuck like that by itself" 

So.. does the GMRS50 Pro radio have a Keypad-lock?   I'm not finding any mention of being able to lock-out the keypad in the user-manual .

Under "Repeater Data Settings"

Keypad Lock.

Turn it off.

 

Randy.  You should take it back and give it to me.  I could use the spare just in case.  At least I know how to use it.

ahh yes.. right where someone would intuitively look for that setting..
Any idea if the channel can still be changed when locked?

Of course it can.  You don't use the microphone for changing the channels.

uhm..what?  The microphone/handset is the ONLY way to change the channels.

I think you are confused about what we are talking about.  This is the microphone/handset - these are the only controls on the radio.
