Weather Statement May 13, 2018
A tropical or sub tropical storm system is starting to form in the area between Key West and Cuba. This storm may become more organized early this week and IF it becomes a named storm by the National Hurricane Center, we will start tracking and evaluating it.
Persons along the eastern and northern Gulf can expect higher than average rainfall over the next week or so. Coastal rip currents, gusty winds, low lands flooding and even tornadoes may be possible. Monitor your local National Weather Service office for official updates and advisories.
You can also use the link below to the National Hurricane Center in Miami, for official information on all forming and named tropical origin storms.
