A wide area of heavy precipitation stemming from a tropical low pressure area, as well as a low pressure area forming near the Texas-Oklahoma border, will be affecting Gulf Coast States from southwestern Florida to the Louisiana - Texas border over the next several days. Rain amounts in some coastal locations could exceed 12 inches with up to 8 inches inland.
