need help with AT5888-uv settings

I have finally got a multi-band radio and stepping out of the 11m comfort zone yay! 

I have gotten it setup to work with frs gmrs 70cm and 2m. I am only currently licencened for GMRS wrfg251.

Are there any members that might be more local to me that could help me understand the programming side and possibly the overall operating understanding?

 

I was able to talk to the elecott city MD repeater when in Baltimore MD yesterday however it was reported that possibly the carrier settings or something was off/wrong.

I think before anyone will begin helping you with your radio setup, we would like to see you at least have a ham license so we know we are not aiding a boot legger (amateur term for an unlicensed operator), Getting your ham license is free and only requires you to pass a test with the FCC. This ensures you understand the basics about RF exposure and radio operations and safety.
