payge2001 Posted January 5, 2023 Report Posted January 5, 2023 I'm fairly new to GMRS. I have been talking on a local repeater without any problems. I recently gained access to a couple more repeaters. Two of the repeaters are on the same frequency but have different tones. When I get done transmitting on the first repeater and unkey I can hear people talking on the 2nd repeater. Just on the unkey. When monitoring the first repeater my radio lights up like it's receiving but it's interference. Is there a way to fix this or do I need to delete the second repeater from my radio? Quote
WRKC935 Posted January 5, 2023 Report Posted January 5, 2023 This is completely normal. If the other repeater is not being interfered with, which would seem to be the case just run with it. You seem to be in a location that there is a good bit of overlap, so you should be aware of what the other repeater is doing (active or not) when you are talking on the other repeater.
