I realize I have a lot to learn, my question is, with my license can I use the handheld radios and also set up my on repeater or does the repeater require a seperate license? PastorGary Posted September 28, 2015 Report Share Posted September 28, 2015 One license will cover everything that your immediate family wishes to do including repeater operations, either your own or a system owned by someone else used with their permission. Remember to ID your communications with your call sign after each contact is finished. What PastorGary has stated is on point and accurate. Just get you license and go. Best time to get your license now too since the fee was just reduced from $90 to $65 bucks.
