But can we TX/RX on those 467mhz frequencies Simplex mode TX and RX on 467mhz? I'm looking for just a little more privacy when traveling and stay away from bubble pack GMRS people It should be legal right? Several times i am chatting with my friends and i seem to hear someone else riding on my friends signal. I asked if someone want to use the repeater no answer and as soon we got back into our conversation it happends again. So i went to simplex mode and sure thing i heard several station chatting on simplex pretty close to me and I told them that there's repeater traffic on the frequency and they were gentlemanly enough to change channels but normally are the simplex users responsiblity to check before they key up? The new regulation wording allows simplex fixed location to fixed location operation on the 467 mains as long as the RF out of the radio antenna connector does not exceed 15 watts. The new Part 95 Fixed station regulations do not limit the type of antenna, antenna gain or ERP while using the 467 mains.Refer to 95.1763 ( c) for the new operational content, which does not restrict fixed to fixed operations on the 467 mains - as well as 95.1767 (a ) (2) for power requirements of fixed stations. Note FCC Part 95 Definition: "Fixed station. It's obscure enough that nobody really uses it, proprietary enough that there's not any scanning hardware for it (to my knowledge), and if you feel clever you can get the old gear and run a mag-mount antenna.
