I'm getting ready to put a repeater on the air I have a Bridgecom I see that GMRS still uses wide bandwidth but also read its 20Khz as opposed to 25Khz? also on antenna gain, I've noticed a Midland GMRS bundle that sells a 10db gain antenna bundled with a 40 watt radio doesn't that yield an ERP of more than 50 watts?
First off I have the right USB cable and the correct com port I've tried Chirp and even the Wouxun software but it doesn't list this model also tried the KGUV commander software to no avail. was hoping I could find someone else that has a copy of the programming software for this radio or another hack I could try I should have downloaded the software over a year ago when I purchased the HT's but I just left the pre configured frequencies in em . Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I constantly search for Part 95 cert new equipment and its hard to come by here's a link I'm not selling or getting commission for sales this is to inform only http://www.powerwerx.com/two-way-radios/tera-handheld-radios/tera-tr-505-gmrs-murs-handheld-radio.html
Does anyone know of a CW ID board for GMRS HT's I seem to remember seeing one for Amateur HT's years ago was just curious or is there a way of making your HT ID in morse through firmware of some kind?
After I program my M1225 with the 15 channels leaves me 5 channel spots anybody have any Ideas what I should put in these and I'd rather not put Ham repeaters I have a separate rig for that. I'm not too familiar with UHF any weather frequencies in this spectrum ? our police went to 800Mhz Fire is on VHF just curious if anybody had any good Ideas, may just leave em blank.
