  1. I do have a 1/4 wave 6 in laird. Will try that first. Thanks.
  2. Fairly local approximately 10to 15 miles. Running a Kenwood TK-880 25 watt.
  3. Looking for a good mobile antenna and have been looking at the Laird BB4502N or BB4505N. I have several repeaters in my area (Fort Worth, TX). Is there any advantage of 5/8th vs 1/2 wave? Open to suggestions on other antennas. Thanks.
  4. Hello, Is there anyone in the DFW/ Fort Worth area that can help with some issues with my TK-880 and a TK-780. Please PM me. Thanks.
  5. Ok. Thanks. I am still a noob at this. Nice little radio.
  6. I understand it isn't programmed. I am not seeing the firmware version. I have the programming software and cable coming but I need the firmware to flash to radio. I believe it is a version 1 radio (back label only shows TK-880).
  7. WRXP381 thanks for the info. New to this radio. Hopefully the cable comes soon.
  8. I just picked up a Kenwood TK-880. I powered it up and all it says on the screen is unprogrammed. I have a BlueMax49ers cable coming and I have the KPG-49D software. Do I need the software to see the firmware on the radio? Also do I need it to be programmed to use the monitor button to hear any noise? Thanks.
  9. I have a lightly used Radioddity GM-30 for sale. I have the radio (with all included items+ box), a desktop stand and a Nagoya NA-771 G full size antenna included. I am asking $40 shipped. I also have the Radioddity programming cable available for $15.
  10. I am looking for someone in the DFW area that can program a repeater channel in a Motorola MT2000. Thanks.
  11. Got my first GMRS radio. Now to play.
  12. Thanks for the suggestions. The radio (MT-2000) should be here on Monday.
  13. I am picking up a MT-2000 and want a GMRS tuned antenna for it. Looking for suggestions of where to get a good antenna as a replacement. Thanks.
