  1. This radio is still working quite well overall. Has anyone had luck with CHIRP programming? I wish the CPS I had was more user friendly...... biggest drawback to this unit really is the programming! Thanks
  2. Just checked that menu sub - had it set to FREQ and it seems (seems....) to be working right now! Weird, maybe it was an oddity. So far, this radio has been working really well (follow up to my last post a month or more ago). Just been using it as a base here at the house, but size and volume wise would am considering installing as a true mobile.
  3. I may have missed this, but..... Does the DB20-G dual monitor? I know there is the "A/B" channel selection, but I cannot get mine to monitor both only the "main". Scan works fine. Any tips? Thanks!
  4. V3.0 FWIW I took the squelch up to 7 in multiple steps, just to test. It seems to have made it better, for the most part. Other radios I have only gone to 3-5, just difference in equipment I guess?
  5. This has been a good thread to follow. I have a DB20-G, and all the functions are working great with one interesting aside.... Any time a transmission comes in, the squelch STAYS broke after I am finished Rx'ing until either I Tx or press another button on the radio. Anyone else had this happen? I am assuming it is some setting I have off, I did try adjusting squelch up a bit to no avail. I also see the tail squelch termination and some other settings, my research has not given me great answers. Any tips/tricks are appreciated!
  6. I have been using the CPS for a while now with my UV-5G Plus radios, its.... OK. One feature in chirp I enjoy is the ease of cut/paste and inserting rows pretty much like you would in Excel. CPS, at least for me, does not want to do that.
