Thank you gentlemen the information provided helped immensely. This proves I did program the unit correctly, I just have to try the distance test. I’ll give it a go over the upcoming weekend. Perhaps my Larsen glass mount is not performing as I had hoped. I currently use a Larsen glass mount for my dual band ham radio with good results. I’m new to these little Midland radios I programmed my device to enable usage on a local repeater. The trouble is that I hear the repeater just fine but I can’t make the repeater. My installation includes the Midland MXT115 and a Larsen glass mount antenna for the 470Mhz band. I guess my question is when the radio is programmed, using a “DPL” code does it automatically program both receive and transmit codes?

Just throwing this question out to see where it lands. I dusted off an old Uniden SMU250KTS trunking radio I hadn’t used for some time, I would like to update the memories in it but don’t have the software to upgrade it. Does anyone out there know where I may be able to obtain a (working) copy of this software? I have the cable, just need the software. Thanks WRBR253
