Finnally found the Texas gmrs .net site. Waiting to be approved. Looks like I am on the very edge of 2 repeaters but not comfortably within any. I know the edge of those lines are not real circles and a little fuzzy at the ends, So, I think they don’t reach me. Waiting on the new radio to test it.

I am a member of mygmrs. From MyGMRS I see there is a repeater in Magnolia and one in Conroe. Is it true that I should be able to hear part of the conversation without being linked in with them? If so, both seem to be out of range for me because I’ve never heard anything from them. I’ll be getting a new radio soon. Maybe it will have better range.

I am on the line between Spring and Tomball. All I hear is mostly radio silence. Maybe a sentence or two per month.

I have only seen one full review on this and, in the end, it didn't work. Has anyone gotten it to work?
