Also, is it possible to use one repeater to reach another in order to communicate if repeaters do not cover the entire distance of the 2 locations?

@SteveShannon After requesting access to a repeater how are we notified, via email or text and is there a secret knock for the owner to know it’s me transmitting besides saying my call sign?
