I read that using type GM-5RH worked, and tried it. It worked for me. I also had issues and found that it is critical to fully seat the cable into to HT. Finally, I didn’t realize I couldn’t program to transmit on amateur bands, so GMRS only for transmissions (I didn’t fully research this). Otherwise, all good!
