I have been using my Tid H8 very lightly for about a year as a backup.
Last night while I was attempting to charge the radio, I noticed it would not turn on. After some troubleshooting I discovered that the battery had melted slightly inside.
Thinking it was a bad battery, I replaced the battery from another H8 that I own. While trying to program the radio, I noticed it had gotten so hot I was unable to hold it.
I pulled the battery out fast and plan to scrap the original battery and the radio but am now wondering if my other Tid H8 will be OK.
Anyone else have any ideas?
