Thanks all this was super helpful. I had similar questions and mine is very basic. Have my gmrs license and studying for my basic- So if the repeater has a listed frequency of 462.600 but no offset listed- this is the frequency the repeater is listening to and also what we set our radio to? If there is no offset listed do we assume it’s plus 5 for a gmrs frequency? I haven’t hit a repeater yet in my area and not sure if it’s a distance issue or me! Using a 5 watt handled. Thanks all.
