So I got 2 gm-30 plus recently and really like them, overall I'm impressed with it's functionality for being such a cheap radio. I am new to GMRS (less than one year) but familiar with Ham Radios (20 plus years licensee) and radios in general/normal functions So anyways, I have been messing around with these and was in my car charging the radio via USB-c and heard nothing on local repeater (normal) I tried to call out but didn't get response from repeater so wondered what was happening. Unplugged it and immediately heard people talking, checked the transmit and could transmit unplugged but once plugged in it did not work again Is there a technical reason, bad hardware? Is it to prevent Handhelds from becoming deskmounts haha? Again new to GMRS and still familiarizing with all the rules but this kinda seems odd.
