Thank you. That's kind of what I was thinking. I was finally able to hit a repeater but no luck lol I had got into gmrs for emergency comms with my family but figured I might as well try and connect with other people and learn as I go I reckon.
I'm trying to learn gmrs and Ham both. It don't come natural to me like it does my father in law but I'm trying. I'm 34 and it seems no one my age is remotely interested in radios. It's a shame.
Any thoughts on a good truck radio and antenna that won't break the bank? My handheld is a baofeng uv9g. I'm not heavily invested as I'm still learning and haven't had much luck in my area
Cannot believe I just seen these. Haven't been on in a while. I will have to double check but I believe I have the correct offset and tone. Waiting on permission on a couple repeaters. Almost a year late but thank you
I've had my license for about 2 years and haven't had much luck connecting with anyone in my area. I'm still trying to learn, any advice or tips appreciated.Anyone in the East Tennessee area out there?
Baofeng uv9g
I've had my license for a little while but have not been able to talk with anyone. I can listen but no one responds so I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if it's just no one wants to talk to a stranger.
