Chirp Error Code "short read of the block 0x0000"

I get the exact same error when using Chirp, Short read of the block 0x0000. I have tried multiple computers, Windows 10, Windows 11, same result. The Radioddity software was even worse, but can't recall the error. Not sure what to try next?
