FYI incase anyone has a similar issue I figured it out. The seller sent me the newer version which does Narrow only, He sent me the older version and now I am able to program GMRS correctly as wideband.

I just purchased a Kenwood TK8180 the 450-520 K model and its being shipped. In the meantime, I downloaded and paid for software. I'm currently programming and noticed an issue. It will not let me select "wide" under the option for wide or narrow when I am programming GMRS channels it only has the narrow option however, when I was programming some local public safety frequencies in it does give me the option for wide or narrow band. What am I doing wrong?
