  2. I have a leixen radio. When set to low power 4 watts , both red and green lights come on when transmitting using 50ft mpd400 and a Fong ant . But does not when switching to 10 or 25 watts . Nothing in the manual Thanks

  4. Great album from Nirvana!
  5. This is what I noticed about my Btech. I tune to a repeater specific channel ( say rep2 ) and I program the codes .... When I change channels to the normal numerical channel ( 16 ) the ctcss codes are applied to said channel . I have to shut off all codes to use the ch15-22. I have never used a PC always programed by hand . I purchased this radio just 9 mos ago.
  6. Yes , I have the same radio and the rate tail worked well. The Wally Lamb quote same Lamb who lived in South Florida IBEW?
  7. I recieved your signals this morning on a 5watt WT . First conversation I have heard since getting my lic. I am "Guest Jerry " From the "Range " topic , but now since I recieved my lic . WROB834. I tried to respond But i am sure my Gm-30 could not transmit that far . I have been anxious from buying all this equipment to reach my Mom in Ft Peirce. . because I understand its a hit or miss thing . But now I am much more confident , the GMRS system will work for me . Now for me to be able to respond , I need a repeater close to me , or should I get a High power radio , or considering building a repeater ? I do really appreciate everones advice and hope to chat some time !Thanks Jerry
