[Can you legally integrate/pratice using codes into your Emercency Plan for coms?]

Pretty sure that you can speak another language. Does the FCC mandate US English? Not code or encryption, but another language not commonly used in the US will eliminate most eavesdroppers.

A lot of work, of course if you don’t already happen to speak another language.

Don't have to join a forum. If they don't have a license and using GMRS equipment don't talk to them. Enough people do that they will either quit using the radios or get licensed when they run out of people to talk too. Either way it's a win.

I got my GMRS license to be able to talk to friends and family with GMRS. I didn’t sign up to become the radio police.

[BTech GMRS-PRO: GPS (mis)information]

My gmrs-pro kept last fix data for at least 20 minutes after my phone was turned off.  It wasn't able to refresh that data until the phone was turned back on (can't recall if I had to launch the app to resync GPS data)

Not sure what to say. With my phone powered off, I can turn on the GMRS pro and it gets a GPS fix in less than a minute. you may have a dud.
