Anyone messed around with some dPMR digital radios? Note this is NOT DMR. Specifically I'm looking at what it takes to program one to intra-operate with the EU's license free dPMR446 service running 0.5 watt radios. The later is the one I'm interested in setting up a zone for dPMR446. There are a few other difference. I'm interested in what talk groups are being used. Also any repeaters in the US?

I know people have a collection of radios, some digital enabled. I'm curious what digital voice modes do you have radios to operate? I want to specifically exclude hot spots, so it would be just base, mobile and HT's. Also what are the models and manufacture? It seems there are pockets of activity for different voice modes across the country including repeaters. Is the operation primary simplex, duplex through repeaters or both?

It is unclear if the FCC would consider permitting any digital voice modes in the GMRS in the near future, particularly since they just released new rules in 2017. If they did consider this, should they permit a particular mode, such as P25, dPMR, DMR, NXDN, (other?), some, or all? Should it be limited to simplex/direct mode, or should repeaters be included?
