WSDQ634 Posted June 30 Report Posted June 30 I got myself an H3 Plus to add to my stable of H3s and my Wouxun KG-935G Plus. Looks like a nice unit but I'm having trouble upgrading to the newest FW. I get a "Initializing device zone: app_dir_head" message on the Odmaster web GUI, and the upgrade never gets past that spot. I'm using the official Tidradio cable, I've tried all of the available USB com ports on my laptop, and even tried using the manual upgrade tool Tidradio provided via their FB group. Anyone know of a solution? Quote
HankScorpio Posted Wednesday at 07:35 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 07:35 PM did you try and leave it plugged in so it can retry a few times? I've read the online firmware upgrade can fail a few times before it succeeds. Quote
Crazy Posted 8 hours ago Report Posted 8 hours ago When I Upgraded my firmware, it changed the display screen, and, it messed up my unit. I turn it on and always push button 3 to turn on scanning of all channels. Once it starts scanning, it stops on a random channel and locks on the transmit button. The radio sits on transmit until the battery and unit get hot and i can feel it on my belt. I have to click the transmit button to break it loose, the scan starts back up and it doesn't get past 8 channels an does it again. Thought the battery was going to explode it was so hot. Had to take it apart and reach out to tid. Tid says that there is no way to revert to original firmware since I didn't record what version the radio came with. But, they said they will replace the radio. Just waiting to see if that happens.. Quote
