Hello from Maine

Hello everyone, I am rather a newbie to GMRS, but not about radio communications, as I only got my licence on Oct 31st :-) 

I am located in central Maine, roughly about 30 miles south of Bangor, ME.

I am wondering id there are any other GMRS ops around me? If so where is the activity?

 

Its great to be here on this forum as I have learned a lot. I would also like to get a repeater  up and running as there isn't one hereabours.

There really isn't much going on in Central or Northern Maine as far as repeaters go, so if you want to chat to people, just scan through the channels and you should get someone.
