WJF54 Posted Thursday at 09:11 PM Posted Thursday at 09:11 PM I'm thinking about purchasing a Wouxun KG-Q10G and just discovered in reading the manual online, that the antenna can't be removed. I guess this is because of FCC regulations regarding transmission of GPS data. I'm wondering then, how good is the antenna on the radio? Is it as good as say, a melowave bandit or a Nagoya? And if not, is there any way to safely remove it without damaging the radio or voiding the warranty? Ideally, I'd like to be able to use it with a mobile antenna, too now and then. Maybe I'm making a bigger deal out of this than I should, but I'd be interested in hearing the thoughts of folks that have this radio. Thanks!! Quote
