Hello all. I'm new to GMRS so I'm not sure if the community is very large. I'm used to the Ham Radio world. Which as you may well know. Is robust down here. I recently got my hands on a GMRS licence and have found zero activity around theses parts. No response from the repeaters. Cant even get a radio check. What say you all?

I have made 2 contacts in the last several weeks. One is licensed and the other is not. Just local low power FRS users otherwise.

Search the FCC data base for GMRS licenses in your area. Find them. In my neck of the woods they are few and far

between. Take a look and see what you find.

Welcome to My GMRS,

The main site, Mygmrs.com has a repeater listing and even a map (For some reason the map doesnt work for me, I think its because it uses a lot of ram so runs slow, but the repeater list still works)

Looking up Fort Myers FL gave me this repeater:

https://mygmrs.com/view?id=2391

Note, Its against forum rules to post repeater frequencies and codes on a forum post, which is why I sent you the link. To view any info there you will need a Mygmrs account which is free, but is not connected to your forum ID or code. When you log in you'll be able to see the following:
Repeater input/output frequencies

Repeater input/output tones

What networks the repeater is a part of
Send requests for permission to use closed/private repeaters

Also, if you wish to build your own repeater your MyGMRS account will allow you to post your repeater information to help with frequency coordination. I would like to note that you should first check for active repeaters in your area as GMRS is limited to 8 repeater pairs in the 462/467 range.

If you need anymore help or have any questions feel free to send a PM or post here :)
