Yet another Antenna question

I have some Baefeng 888s.  I haven't played with them much but I have got them programmed I am thinking about replacing the antennas cause I hear they're just but I'm clueless. Has anyone tried these anttennas or know anything about them?  One  and Two

They should be better than stock. On my dual band portables I changed them and performance was greatly improved heck one of them is over 14" that helps a lot .

One thing, don't expect *too* much from a rubber-duck...  While antenna is 99% of a radio system, no matter what you will be limited using a portable with a rubber-duck compared to a mobile or base.

 

I use the Diamond SRH77CA on my VX-7R, seems to work pretty well for 2M/70CM.

I have a few 888's I use an SMA to BNC adaptor and buy BNC antennas, then when I get in my truck or Home, I can easily hook up to roof top antenna. I also like the short stubby spring BNC antenna for around the house. I would upload pictures but says file too big.

If you search "golden spring" and "BNC female to SMA female" on ebay and maybe Amazon.

for a gain antenna I like the SRH 901s Dual band antenna also BNC based.

a BNC connection is by no means perfect, but it is convenient.
