Extreme Posted January 27, 2023 Report Posted January 27, 2023 Any issue installing a "No Ground Plane" antenna (1/2 or 5/8 wave) on a ground plane? Any benefit? Just brainstorming on a 2nd antenna with some gain to play around with where my 1/4 wave is mounted. Likely makes more sense to get a ground plane antenna in 1/2 or 5/8 wave, eh? Quote

0 WRQC527 Posted January 27, 2023 Report Posted January 27, 2023 Some folks say putting a "no ground plane" 1/2 wave over a ground plane works better. In my case, my Rugged Radios 1/2 wave doesn't work any different on my van than a quarter wave or 5/8 wave. PartsMan and Extreme 2 Quote
