So, during the process of programming several repeaters into my radio, I noticed that two repeaters were using the same frequency and tones, e.g. 462.650, tone 141.3. With all the options available for repeater frequencies and tones, why would repeater owners located so close to one another choose the same frequency and tone?
Also, four of the five repeaters I programmed used tone 141.3. There are many more available tones to choose from. Any idea why this would be the case? Is 141.3 the most popular tone?
