I asked for permission to talk on the Springfield repeater and it says approval (does that mean I’m approved) I’m new to all of this stuff. If it's private you will have to wait until they approve you. If it's open you might wait a reasonable period of time, connect to the repeater, transmit your ID and ask for permission. If you don’t receive a response then setup your own as private and ignore all requests to access.
