dsaul Posted Monday at 08:25 PM Report Posted Monday at 08:25 PM Our clinic has dropped its GMRS handhelds, so now we have a VXR-7000 sitting around. Is there a way to make the VXR-7000 use a ham frequency instead of the GMRS frequencies? When I try to create a channel with a frequency lower than 450.000 it reverts back to 450.000. I don't want to just throw this repeater out... Thanks. Don, KK7EV. Quote
OffRoaderX Posted Monday at 08:33 PM Report Posted Monday at 08:33 PM The VXR-7000 UHF version will transmit only from 400-430mhz and 450-480mhz. Remember that if you change the frequency you will also have to re-tune the duplexer .. but an out-of-tune duplexer will not prevent you from making the change.
